Day 38

Day 38: November 5, 2021 (Tallahassee FL to Live Oak FL)

Today was a rainy, cold, and windy day.  It was 50 degrees for a high.  The rain varied from moderate to heavy and the winds were up to 20 mph.  Combine that with moderately heavy traffic and narrow shoulders, I did not ride my bicycle today.  It was just too dangerous.

It was a hard decision for me.  I felt as if I were cheating.  Laura, Kimberly, and Ron helped me accept this decision.  I’m doing the ride for child abuse prevention awareness; not to see how much risk I’m willing to take.  

Not much else to say for today.  The weather forecast for tomorrow, Day 39, is cold, rainy, and higher winds.  We’ll see.
